Diane McArthur, Chief Talent Officer of the provincial government of Ontario, will speak about the challenges and opportunities for public-sector leaders in navigating changes in government at a special breakfast event on Nov. 2 at the Schulich Executive Education Centre’s Nadal Management Centre.
McArthur is the province’s first Chief Talent Officer and chairs of the Public Service Commission. She supports the executive development committee on Ontario Public Service (OPS) efforts to ensure that there are engaged and innovative leaders across the OPS. McArthur also oversees the public appointments process for broader public-sector agencies across Ontario and is spearheading the development of a strategic plan for public service renewal.
At this session, you will also learn about the Masters Certificate in Public Sector Leadership, SEEC’s flagship program for practising directors and managers in government and the broader public sector. For 10 years this program has assisted leaders at the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government as well as those in a wide variety of not-for-profit agencies, to develop their skills and knowledge in the concepts and tools of management in the public sector. By attending this information session, you will be able to meet and speak with faculty and many alumni of the program who will tell you about the tremendous benefits that this program offers.
You are welcome and encouraged to bring a guest to share this experience.
