Kevin Empey

Kevin Empey was appointed supervisor of Brockville General Hospital in October 2016 after serving as CEO of Durham Region’s Lakeridge Health system for seven years. He is also a healthcare consultant providing strategic and operational advice to CEOs, hospitals, the private sector and the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, and served as chair of the Healthcare Sector Supply Chain Strategy Expert Panel.

Kevin is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and has completed programs in management and corporate governance at Harvard Business School, the University of Toronto and the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has both private-sector and public-sector expertise in finance, strategic planning, business development, materials management, process improvement and cultural change. He is a CPA (Chartered Accountant) who is creative in identifying business opportunities in the not-for-profit sector and able to motivate teams to improve service, quality and efficiency.
