Simply uttering the word profit within the confines of the healthcare community used to be the cardinal sin, but the outlook is definitely experiencing a time of substantial change here in Canada. According to Dr. Robert Bell, the President and CEO of the University Health Network, the business of healthcare needs to be re-evaluated; profits achieved through healthcare are simply pumped back into the system. In terms of healthcare and the business of healthcare, Toronto is right up there with the rest of world.  As a major healthcare epicenter in Canada, Toronto has the undeniable ability to become a profit center for all of Canada and maybe even the rest of the world.
