Masters Certificate in Adult Training and Development
The SEEC/Masters Certificate in Adult Training & Development (MCATD) program aims to enhance participants' knowledge and skill in helping others learn, through a hands-on, experiential approach with the best possible balance of theory and practice.
The program consists of five 3-day classroom teaching modules, where you will learn about and experience the essentials of adult learning theory and practice, including fundamental adult learning concepts and models, needs assessment, instructional design, presentation and facilitation. The MCATD program modules continue with the original materials and designs and are led by the original facilitators who have made this program so well respected since 1994.
Participants must complete all five modules within a two-year period in order to be entitled to submit a practicum and be eligible to receive the masters certificate status. Upon the successful completion of all 5 modules, you will engage in a rigorous practicum, where you'll apply everything you've learned in a real world situation that you select. The practicum report must be successfully completed within one year after attendance in all five modules.
Module 1: Understanding the Adult Learner
Module 2: Needs Assessment and Evaluation
Module 3: Instructional Design
Module 4: Presentation Design and Delivery
