In it, you will learn to understand the causes of today’s volatile business environment and how to rethink and reframe your approach to the challenge in order to develop new insights and see new opportunities amid the chaos.
This three-day intensive program in strategic leadership is designed for senior executives with 10-plus years of management experience. A major benefit of attending the program is the information sharing and management experiences among participating leaders from various industries across Canada.
The key objective of the program is to equip individual leaders with the specific tools and techniques to navigate through turbulence and enable positive action in their organizations’ internal and external challenges. The exploration of the nature of this turbulent world looks at internal changes such as industry mergers and new foreign competition, competitive product and service innovation, technology, automation and manufacturing shifts, along with rapidly changing marketing, sales and social media channels, increased regulations and business risk and changing customer demands & demographics
Disruptive external forces include staffing reductions and funding cuts, new strategic change initiatives, reorganization or relocation decisions, product or service obsolescence, talent management with aging workforce and supply chain process innovation.
The program format is a mix of mini-lectures, in-class exercises and break-out sessions with program faculty floating between teams. The seminar is framed by a case study project that puts newly acquired thinking and concepts into immediate practice. You will also transfer your learning to others back at the office – enabling your entire team to achieve positive actions and generate solutions to the most stubborn or disruptive business challenges. Two months after the completion of the in-class seminar, a small on-site group or online coaching session is offered with the instructors. This session is designed to help participants apply their newly developed skills in their own work contexts.
